How to reach Bharmour
Bharmour is the main base of all Manimahesh routes. So this is the origin point of Manimahesh trek and yatra.Bharmour is well connected by road but not with rail and air. But visitors can assess Bharmour by nearby conacting airports and railheads.
By Air:
The closest airport is at Gaggal (Kangra) near Dharamshala which is 190 km and other is Amritsar Airport 300 km from Bharmour. Taxis and Buses are available from both airports.
By Rail:
The nearest railway terminal is situated in Chakki Bank and Pathankot, Punjab which is at a distance of 180kms. Taxis and Buses are available from both places.
By Road:
Bharmour is well connected by roads with main cities of Himachal Pradesh like Chamba, Kangra, Dalhousie, Dharamshala, Manali, Mcleodgunj, Shimla etc. It is 60kms from the District headquarter Chamba and approximately 200kms from Dharamshala at a height of 2195mts from sea level. Taxis and Buses are available. There are regular Bus services from Pathankot and Kangra to Chamba then to Bharmour. |
